The

1- Oil Products Export:
With the new approach of the Oil Ministry, the NIOPDC having the suitable
infrastructure in oil products trading and transportation became responsible
for the delivery of the oil products of the country’s refineries in the
international markets since 2007. In 2007, the total amount of oil products
including sulfur, gasoil and kerosene exported by the NIOPDC to the neighbor
countries was 343,000 metric tons. By reviewing the export process and the
promotion of the knowledge and the related experience, in 2008, the total
amount of export added up to 3.5 tons. In addition to sulfur, gasoil and
kerosene, other products such as fuel oil, heavy naphtha, and aviation fuel
were added to the export list. Regarding the deepened recession in the
international financial markets, by the adoption of the special arrangements
and benefiting from a relative advantage, the export amount was kept 3.5
million metric tons. The exported products that year were fuel oil, naphtha,
gasoil, kerosene, aviation fuel, gasoline and sulfur to the countries such as
China, Singapore, South Korea, Iraq, Armenia and Afghanistan.

noteworthy that the produced oil products in the refineries of the country
during these years were utilized officially for the first time in the neighbor
countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Armenia that cause employment in the
related fields, utilizing the transportation fleet in the low-congested months
of the year and also controlling the oil products smuggling.
In spite
of the special conditions and variations in the international arena, the oil
products export trend continued in 2007 and several kinds of the oil products
were exported to the different countries proportionate with the market
conditions.
