Kinichi Komano, Ambassador of Japan to Tehran |
Interviewing Mr. Kinichi Komano, the ambassador of Japan to Iran, is a
special event. He prefers to speak Persian while quoting poems from Sa'di or
Hafez.
Has had studied Persian language at Shiraz University for two years some 40
years ago and with his good command of Persian, he can talk about the
Iranian culture, literature, history and civilization.
The main topic of our negotiations was about economic and cultural relations
between the two nations. He welcomed Iran International's decision to
dedicate a special edition to economic and cultural relations between the
two countries and asked his cultural and economic colleagues to cooperate
with the magazine.
Since Japan is a mountainous and volcanic land, it has scarce resources, but
its gross domestic product is the second highest in the world after the
United States.
Service, industrial and agricultural sectors of Japan claim the highest
share of that gross domestic product.
Japan enjoys one of the world's most advanced industries in such areas as
automobile manufacture, electronic devices, machinery, steel and non-ferrous
metals, shipbuilding, chemical industries, textiles and food industries.
Exports account for the lion's share of Japan's revenues and include
transportation equipment, motorized equipment, electrical devices, chemicals
and semi-conductors.
Japan also imports machinery and equipment, fuel, foodstuff, chemicals,
textiles and raw materials.
In cooperation with the Japanese embassy in Tehran and Iran's embassy in
Japan, Iran International magazine is to publish a special issue on
development of cultural and economic relations between the two countries. |
