Iran Breaks Total's Record in South Pars


The plan for the development of Phase 12 of South Pars made a progress of 20% in a period of 52 months while in the past 11 months executive operations made a physical progress of 40%.


Managing director of South Pars Oil and Gas Company said Iranian contractors have broken the records of Eni Company of Italy and Total of France in the development project for Phase 12 of South Pars. He added that early production of the largest South Pars phase would start by the next Iranian calendar year (starting March 22).

Mousa Souri, referring to the latest operational status of the plan for development of Phase 12 as the largest phase under implementation in South Pars, said that at present construction operations in the two marine and land sectors have made a progress of 60%.

Stating that up to the calendar month of Dey (December/January) last year executive progress of this joint gas project was about 20.6%, Souri stressed that in a period of 11 months the progress at Phase 12 has increased from 20% to 60%.

Stressing that the plan for the development of Phase 12 of South Pars has made a monthly physical progress of 4, 4.8 and 5 percent respectively over the past three months, the South Pars Oil and Gas Company Managing Director said through registration of this rate of progress, Iranian contractors have broken the records of foreign companies present at South Pars like Total of France and Eni of Italy.
